Cleaning prices in Duncan, BC

Rates start at $50 an hour with products and equipment included. These are starting rates, not fixed prices — every space is different, so every job is quoted on its own before any work begins.

Starting rates

Prices are not fixed. What is below is where quoting starts — the final number depends on the space, its condition, how much product the job takes and how far it is. You always get your own figure in writing first.

ServiceRateHow it is charged
House cleaningFrom $50/hourHourly, products included
Office & commercialFrom $50/hourHourly, invoiced monthly
Deep cleaningFrom $55–60/hourHourly — slower, heavier, more product
Move-in / move-out$250–700Flat quote after photos or a look
Dog waste removal$15–20/visitPer visit, or $50–60/month weekly

What a typical clean actually costs

The hourly rate matters less than the total, so here is roughly what homes in Duncan work out to on a regular schedule at the starting rate:

HomeRegular visitBi-weekly, per month
1–2 bed apartment$75–100$150–200
2 bed house$100–125$200–250
3 bed house$125–150$250–300
4+ bed house$150–200$300–400

First cleans take longer than the visits that follow, because there is always more to shift the first time. That is normal and it is quoted honestly up front.

Why quotes vary

Two three-bedroom houses can be an hour apart in the work they need. These are the things that move a quote up or down:

  • Condition, not just size — a home that has been cleaned regularly takes far less time than one that has not
  • How much product the job takes — heavy limescale, grease build-up or a neglected bathroom can use several times the product of an ordinary clean, and good products are expensive
  • Pets and household size — shedding animals and busy families add real time to every visit
  • Distance — how far the drive is, with equipment and supplies loaded
  • How often — regular visits are quicker per visit than occasional ones, so they cost less each time

Nothing is ever added mid-job without asking you first. Extras outside a regular clean — inside the oven, inside the fridge, interior cupboards, interior windows above reach — are quoted before the visit, not after it.

What is included

  • All cleaning products and equipment, brought with me
  • A written quote before any work starts
  • The same cleaner every visit
  • A simple written service agreement, so both sides know what was agreed

Service agreements

Regular clients get a short written agreement covering the scope of the work, the agreed rate, how often, and how either of us gives notice. It is one page in plain English — not a lock-in. It exists so nobody is relying on memory about what was agreed, and so the rate is clear in writing.

Businesses that need a formal contract for their own records — a signed service agreement with set terms, an agreed schedule and proper invoicing — can have one. Just ask when you get in touch.

An agreement, not a trap. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee. Skip a week when you are away, change frequency, or stop entirely with reasonable notice so the slot can go to someone else.

Payment

Interac e-Transfer or cash. Regular residential clients are invoiced every few weeks rather than after each visit. Commercial clients receive a numbered monthly invoice itemised by visit date and hours, suitable for bookkeeping.

Common questions

How much do cleaners charge in Duncan, BC?

Rates start at $50 per hour for regular home and office cleaning, $55 to $60 per hour for deep cleaning, and flat quotes for move-in and move-out cleans. Cleaning products and equipment are included. These are starting rates rather than fixed prices — the final quote depends on the size and condition of the space, how much product the job takes, and the distance.

Is there a minimum charge?

Two hours is the practical minimum for a visit. Below that, travel and equipment make up too much of the job for the rate to be fair to either side.

Do you charge extra for supplies or travel?

Cleaning products and equipment are always included — there is never a separate charge for them. Travel is not billed as a separate line either; for places further from Duncan it is simply factored into the quote, so you still only ever see one number.

Is there a contract?

Regular clients get a short written service agreement setting out the scope, the rate, the frequency and how notice is given. Businesses can have a formal signed contract if they need one for their records. Neither has a minimum term or a cancellation fee — give reasonable notice and that is the end of it.

How do I pay?

Interac e-Transfer or cash. Regular residential clients are invoiced every few weeks; commercial clients are invoiced monthly with itemised visit dates and hours.
